I have finished my first father's day card. I have a few more to do but I wanted to share my first one. I made a little mistake with the eyelets, I should have had them go through all the layers of the card and not just the top blue layer... but, practice makes perfect.
I cut the fishing pole at 4" with the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge for this project and just my printer for the phrase (I don't have a large enough stamp collection yet to have all the phrases a person would need, but my printer worked just fine). I put the card stock through my printer and then using the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge I cut out an oval at 3 1/4" and made sure I used the Center Point option on the machine... very nice.
This fishing pole has a shadow option and a third layer, but I really liked this style for this particular card... hope you like it too :)

Cute card! Glad you're enjoying doing those things. I really like the way you did your pg. I will now check this pg more often.
