Grandpa's Brithday Surprise

The 16th is my dad's 65th birthday. So, I decided, seeing as money was tight, that we would make a gift for him. Please, no squealing!

We took and painted a nice board and let each of the girls put their hand print on it. Then, with white rub-on letters, I put each girl's name in their respective hand print.

Along the edges, I put the following quote: "I love you more than ice cream".

There is a little history behind this little saying. Ever since Janae was able to talk, we would play this game with each other. I'd say, 'I love you more than ice cream', and she'd say 'I love you more than ____'. The game would go on and on from there. Well, it was passed down to Grandpa and they play that game over the phone a lot.

One day while shopping in Wally World, the girls came across the book, 'I love you more than ...'. They had a fit. They just could not believe they stole Janae's game, without her permission of all things!!! We got a big laugh out of it.

wow, Amanda. It's hard to believe that our Dad's are getting to be this age. Can you remember when we thought this was ancient? Well it isn't and to think I am right behind them. Your project sounds really cute. can't wait to see it.Love to you all.

Very cute (and creative!) project, Amanda! You could never "shop" for anything that meaningful. Great job.
