Day 20

Saturday, December 20th, 2008 has been here and gone. We headed north on 218 and west on 80. There we turned north onto 151 and headed straight for Amana, IA. We really didn't know what to expect, but soon found ourselves at the Village Guest Suite, bed and breakfast. Beautiful place to say the least. We were really hungry so we decided to try the Ox Yoke Restuarant. It was delightful. Before we were finished eating, it was snowing very hard outside and was very lovely!

We went across the street and visited the General Store. I really liked that store. They had a couple of villages on display with all edible houses. They were really nice. I wanted a picture of ALL of them, but my husband got weary.

The wind picked up after the first couple of stores we visited. Then, it got to be really cold outside. We did visit all of the stores that were open. Unfortunately, not all of them were open because of the winter or the weather. So, no picutre with the big rocker :(
