Catching Up

So much has happened in the last four months. A couple more rooms painted, a new church sign, some new pieces of furniture, finished a second term at WCCC (with a 4.0 gpa), went to a T.E.A party with Mt. Carmel Christian School (they sang), went to the Creation museum with MCCS, and... kept my sanity, among other things.

A few months back I textured our living room ceiling, painted, and awaited our new furniture. Just a bit of advise, don't get microfiber furniture. It attracts dirt with its electricity it produces. At anyrate, it sure beats what we had before. But now, we have to keep yelling at the kids; don't do that on the couch, don't sit down so hard, and DON'T move the couch back while trying to put the recliner down. Sometimes, I think it's just easier to have old stuff you don't have to constantly be worrying about.

The TEA party was enjoyable. Though it was hot that day, and they made us wait until the end to sing, it was still an interesting thing to take part in.

Thanks to a friend in Michigan, we finally found someone to make our church signs for us. I don't know what these people's problems were, but we just couldn't get anyone to finish our signs (they never even started really). Well, the Saturday after Easter, several of the church men did an excellent job errecting the sign. What a difference it really makes. This picture doesn't show the landscaping we did, but maybe I'll post a different picture later.

The creation museum, though exhausting was very neat. We left the school and headed toward Petersburg, KY @ 5:00 am on a nice big coach bus. One problem: a coach bus can go a long way without stopping. So, we drove (rode) for 6 hours with one 10 min stop. After arriving at the Creation museum @ 11:00 am we enjoyed our 8 hour visit. Then, after all the children (37 of them) decided they needed frappe's from the coffee shop, we boarded the bus @ 7:00 pm and headed the bus toward home. Do I need to even say these children didn't sleep a wink, didn't even close their mouths the whole 6 hour drive home. So many stories I could tell, but not enough time. We finally made it home around 1:00 am Saturday. An adventure of a lifetime, that will remain an adventure of a lifetime.
College this term was..., let's just say it was no picnic. The anatomy part of Anatomy & Physiology was very difficult. The first month we had to learn the different types of tissue and what they looked like under a microscope. Not only did we have to learn them, we had an exam on them; looking at different slides through a microscope and identifying the different tissues and where they were located and what their function was. After that the rest of the lab was memorizing all the bones and the muscles of the body, their origin, insertion, and action. Do you now how many bones there are in the body?? Like over 200!! And the muscles are pretty extensive too. Well, the exam was last night and can you believe, there were only 40 questions on the stupid test. No, I'm not complaining; or maybe I am.

Well, enough for now. I don't want to put anyone into shock from too much information. I'll try to keep the posts closer together. That is if I can find time inbetween relxing, oh, and cleaning my house from the lack of attention over the course of 4 months.
