Winter Days

We reciently aquired a wood burner and put it in our fireplace as an insert. But for some reason it isn't heating our house. Until it is fixed, though, we just put a fire on to watch it and hear the wood crackle. I love this time of year.

My daughter, Brenna, caught this cardinal in the tree outside our kitchen window.

This too is out side my kitchen window. We felled the tree that was blocking my view.

Much better.
