8 Month's In a Flash

I can't believe it is already May 22, 2012 and the last time I updated my blog was way back 8 months ago.  So much has been going on, and it hasn't been cleaning my house, decorating, paper crafting, or whatnot.  It's been racing to the finish line of the first year of nursing school.  If someone would have warned me how hard this marathon was, I wouldn't have believed them.  But I have to say, it really is a marathon.  Not only has it been a sacrifice for me, but so much more for my children and my husband.  Without their help, I don't think I could have finished this year.

I didn't do as well as I wanted, but I passed, and that my friends, is music to my ears.  Several of my friends didn't pass, and just to imagine the hard work and to not be able to go on to second year tears my heart apart for them. I have really grown attached to my clinical buddies and hate that we have to change groups every 5-6 weeks.

So much has happened in 8 months:

Got into a wreck

Got a new kitty
Beth got her first gun!

Got a new Thomas Kinkade Christmas Arrangement
Made melting snowmen cookies!

Made my first Edible Arrangement (yes, I do need more practice!)
Had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Easter is always a looked-forward-to holiday.

It's almost like Easter marks the end of winter and opens the door to Spring.  Well, not here in PA.  We had a spring winter storm April 23rd.  Yes I know, that is an oxymoron, but nonetheless true. The girls even had a snow day!  The first one all year.  Some parts of PA (mainly in the mountains) received up to 8 inches of snow that day. Thankfully, it was gone within a day or two.

I was able to go on my first field trip of the year! So, lots of mommies and kiddos headed off to Pittsburgh to the Carnegie (pronounced kahr-ney-gee here in PA) Science Center.  We all had a fun time (especially mommy and daughter).

The church roof finally, finally got finished. The new bathroom in the house has been completed and the main bath is nearly done.  Just a few more things to do to the church (doors, windows, siding) and it will be completed.  So hard to believe we've come this far in the three years since we've moved here.

Well, I've opened up my blot and and came searching for my buddies. :-) I cant imagine you have a spare minute in your life to blog! I'm amazed at your success in school. Nursing school was difficult and I didn't have all the responsibilities you do!
