Long Road Ahead

Hi Everyone. I'm sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything, but if you knew what has taken place the last month you'd feel sorry for me (well, maybe anyhow).

My husband and I purchased a church that has an adjoining parsonage. The church is in tip top shape except for the roof and unfortunately the results of it leaking. At any rate, the house is another subject. Very desperate shape. We are having to do everything but rewire and tear down walls; yes we are having to re plumb. We just yesterday got running cold water! I don't think I've ever seen girls so excited over a toilet!

I have textured and painted 3 bedrooms and have one to go, then I can work on the main parts of the house. Like I said, the kitchen isn't in and the bathroom is still in progress.

This is the church:

This is the house, and if you notice the blue windows to the right of the house, that is our travel trailer, so you'll have to notice where the house stop and the travel trailer begins. It looks like they run together. When we bought the house we also inherited a truck load of JUNK in the basement. I'm talking a house full of moldy furniture and a three-car garage full of moldy garage sale items.
This is the living room. How we are going to fit all of our furniture in this small are; that will be interesting. My sister-in-law refinished the wood floors for us. They are not in perfect condition but they still look nice.

This is Anna, Brenna, and Janae's bedroom. They wanted it all blue, including the ceiling, with a sun, clouds, flowers, grass and butterflies. Thankfully we found the wall stickers at walmart for the butterflies and bees.

This bedroom belongs to Beth. Orange and pink she says. Fortunately I convinced her the ceiling and trim HAD to be white. I also convinced her to put pinks in her decorations and not on the walls. :)

It's coming along, but very slowly. Stay tuned for more updates in the saga of the Coltura family.

You're doing awesome to already have 3 rooms painted! I love the girls rooms. And orange and pink is definitely all the rage for young people these days. There's lots of fun touches you could add in hot pink colors. I'm sure she'll have fun putting it all together. Can't wait to see what you do with the rest of the house! Congratulations on your new church!!
